![]() ![]() It looks almost like Windows 7's Classic. This is the Windows Classic theme on Windows 8. And from here you can change various things such as the taskbar, text and windows color. Which are not available in Windows 8 Basic Mode but are when you change to High Contrast. You will see a new options menu shown above with additional customization settings. You can also change the desktop background. High Contrast theme menu where you can change the system colors. I have selected High Contrast White but you can use one of the other High Contrast themes if you want. Select one of the High Contrast themes and save it. You will then see all of the themes including High Contrast themes. This opens the themes settings as shown here in the picture. Right click on your desktop and click "personalize." Which will give you the classic look and work in the same way as Windows Classic does. But the High Contrast themes are still there which disables the Aero or Windows Basic themes as they are now called. Microsoft have removed the Windows Classic theme that was in Windows 7 and previous versions of Windows from Windows 8. ![]()
